I came to owning the original Prime Fitness Adjustable Bench upon buying and trying just about every other manufacturer’s adjustable bench out there. I didn’t find anything as comfortable or as easy to move around as Prime’s. Once the shorty bench became available it made sense to upgrade so that I could take advantage of its ability to also be used both as a utility bench and as a preacher curl.
And now that the Smart Arm is out I was able to sell off several Strive/Prime standalone machines and can now do seated leg extensions and lying leg curls in addition to bicep preacher curls.
IMO there’s not currently a better home gym eco system out there as Prime has found a niche to really bringing high end commercial gym equipment to home gym users.

The shorty bench has been a perfect fit for my tiny gym space. I purchased some of the accessories, like the arm pads and foothold attachments. The bench fits under a sofa table in what used to be my dining room and is easy to move around. The pad is comfortable and the bench is very stable on my gym padded floor. I highly recommend it if you are limited in space.
Solid bench, good adjustable angles, solidly built while not being gigantic like a lot of other units on the market. Well packaged and showed up in prime condition.
Attachments and removeable headrest are cool differentiators at the moment.
Shipping was looking crazy high but I reached out and Prime was able to fix something in their system and it came down to a reasonable rate. All in all happy with the purchase.
Yes this bench is expensive, yes the shipping cost will make you cry, but there are reasons for that big sticker price:
1. It's hand crafted in the US
2. It displays an incredible attention to detail
3. It's the most modular bench on the market with loads of different attachments.
